FRENCH WALNUT BUREAU PLAT in the Regence style, c. late 1800’s. The shaped top with inset replacement tooled gilt leather top over a highly carved apron with central drawer raised on carved cabriole uprights joined by a carved shaped “X” stretcher surmounted by a carved foliate finial raised on escargot toes. The whole with foliate, shell and crosshatching motifs.
