English 19th Century Mahogany Bookcase
Dimensions: 90″H x 50 1/2″W x 14″D
This stately bookcase was made in England, circa 1870. The entire bookcase separates into two bodies. The upper body contains four glass-front doors, while the lower body has two doors and a singular, long drawer. The four glass-front doors have been masterfully constructed, with each door containing arcaded glass windows, set in inlaid, arcaded muntins. The doors contain working locks and feature a smart, brass, central style. The uppermost shelf is fixed, while the lower is adjustable; both finished. The lower body contains six smaller drawers and a large cubby behind its two beautifully paneled doors. Below these doors is a single drawer, that is long, and outfitted with two styled brass drop bail pulls.
