French 19th Century Transitional Style Cherry Enfilade

A fantastic French 19th century cherry enfilade with three drawers found between its two doors. The cherry is beautifully toned with a rich warm color. Elements of both Louis XV and Provincial styles are present in this transitional antique. The The top is in excellent condition, with three wonderful panels, and rounded front corners to fit the rounded corners of the body. The two doors hang on barrel hinges and have lovely shaped panels. The doors also contain working locks, with keyholes surrounded by cut steel escutcheons. Each door closes before an interior storage cavity, each with a single fixed shelf. Three drawers can be found in the center of the enfilade, each with steel drop bail handles. The enfilade is also styled with a shaped skirt that, at its center, has a carved woven basket with two hearts inside. The feet are escargot in style.
