French Early 20th Century Mahogany Transitional Desk

A large mahogany desk, from France, that blends elements of Directoire and Louis XVI styles. The desk has seven total drawers: three on each side of the kneehole, and one wider, central drawer. The drawers are equipped with antique brass hardware, but it is not original to the piece. Above the drawers to the left and right of the kneehole are two slides that extend for additional workspace. The top of the desk is large, with plenty of space to work on projects. The kneehole has a clearance of 24 1/2″. The desk is lifted by eight tapered legs.
