    This Dutch Rococo style three-seat-back settee is a wonderful addition to any interior. Crafted during the 19th century with high quality, ornate marquetry work. The top of each seat back showcases a crowned lion in the standing “rampant” position. Floral designs cover every part of the frame, including the back; giving it the ability to float in any space. The upholstered, striped fabric is fixed to a removable cushion that remains moderately comfortable. The apron is shaped according to the seat cushion and has a scalloped edge.     This Dutch game table/ console is made of mahogany with impressive satinwood marquetry, circa 1795. When in demi-lune form the beautiful marquetry motif of flowers, overflowing vase, swallows, and scrolling leaves is on full display. The detailed woodwork continues onto the apron and three front legs. The back leg pulls out, concealing a storage drawer that seconds as a support when the top is flipped open. The open table top is covered with a rich leather and stamped with a continuous vine perimeter. Straight, tapered legs are fixed with small metal feet to protect the wood.   • Fine French 19th Century Empire-Style Marquetry-Inlaid Satinwood and Gilt-Bronze Portico Clock

    This French 19th century marquetry-inlaid satinwood and gilt-bronze portico clock, c. 1840’s, in the Empire taste, features a floral-and-foliate-inlaid frieze over four line-inlaid satinwood columns with gilt-bronze capitals having diapered and acanthus-leaf detail and gilt-bronze bases. The silvered and engraved dial with engraved Roman numerals is surrounded by a finely diapered gilt-bronze bezel and cast gilt-bronze floral pendulum surmounted by a pair of swans resting on a floral-inlaid plinth base with turned pad feet.  The whole is presented in a dome-on-stand which retains its original wavy glass. This clock retains its original key, has been cleaned, and is in working order.

    A breathtaking hand carved ebony cabinet with over the top marquetry designs! Built in the 1790’s this rare and fine breakfront bookcase is in outstanding antique condition. All the doors display hand rolled glass panes sounded in detailed inlay. All of the doors have functioning clock keys and locks, something we have never seen before! The door fronts have the most remarkable designs depicting overflowing scrolling baskets of flowers. The interior painted black shelves in the top measure 13-¾”deep. The lower shelf measures 13-⅝”deep. Three keys are included for all of the functioning locks. The whole is raised on bun feet.
