Floral and foliate designs are carefully inlaid around the the porcelain clock face in brilliant mother-of-pearl, contrasting the stained mahogany. The dial has hand-painted Roman numerals and delicately pierced hands to tell the time. The clock chimes the hour, and once on the half hour.
