French 18th Century Oak Table with Drawer

This French 18th century table is made of incredibly handsome antique oak. One large drawer can be found in the apron that still boasts its original hardware. The table is supported by beautiful carved turned legs, linked by an equally beautiful center stretcher that is adorned with a carved palm finial. A handsome, impressive carved mahogany desk with gem-cut decorations and fitted birds-eye maple interiors and original black leather writing surface. A very interesting key unlocks the top part of this fine desk, folding down to an interior fitted with 9 storage areas. The top of the desk slides forward reveling the writing surface which is pulled out and then dropped down for a very functional and useable writing surface. Below the writing surface are three large drawers (one is a faux front, one large drawer with a hidden locked compartment) The whole sits on impressively carved barley twist legs. 1840’s

A smart cherry desk with restrained design made in France in the 19th century. Neat, clean lines make for a highly functional desk while the warmth and richness expressed in the solid, aged, cherry provide an unparalleled beauty. The desk’s top has taken a wonderful patina and has great little canted corners. The apron has a single drawer with a turned wood knob. The legs are linear and tapered: a design theme we see throughout the antique.

French 19th Century Walnut Coffer

This decorative coffer or chest is well made with layers of raised banding around the top and bottom and an interesting paneled diamond motif, giving this coffer an overall geometric design. Hand forged iron bail handles are on each side, and the whole piece sits on adorable turned ball feet. The interior is outfitted with a candle box for fast access at sundown. The back is plain. See patina in detailed photos. Circa 1850 or earlier.

French 19th century painted Louis XVI style counter top glass display cabinet. Two glass adjustable shelves and mirrored floor. Egg and dart molding around crown with pearl beading that frames each glass panel. Eight panels of glass total with interesting and intriguing corner arched glass panels. Some restoration has been done on the top, base and door. The top actually lifted off the cabinet – it was a stacking process for display. Now the top is secure and a door was made for your convenience. Wonderful for displaying a special collection. Made around 1850.
