    A collection of merchant painted counters from a 19th Century French pastry shop. This rare and outstanding group of counters would transform your everyday kitchen or shop. The shop counter is paneled on three sides with geometric motifs and the original layered and worn paint finish. The backside is open for storage with two drawers, one with fitted sections and a single shelf. The original white marble top hangs over its base making a durable and large work surface. There are two counters each with 9 drawers that were once built into the walls of the pastry shop. One chest is slightly larger than the other, clearly custom to the wall they were once attached to. Each chest has its original worn and layed paint finish and white marble top. All three counters pair very well together, and rest on a plinth painted platform.     A delightful, tall French Louis Philippe buffet composed of solid walnut, pine and oak. This lightly toned buffet is designed with clean, straight lines, making this – and all Louis Philippe style pieces – extraordinarily versatile. The buffet has two drawers that feature original diamond shaped cut steel escutcheons, with the right drawer having a working lock. The two lockable doors conceal an interior cavity that contains a single fixed shelf. The entire buffet is raised on shaped bracket feet.

    This fantastic Parisian solid rosewood and walnut commode was crafted in 18th century France circa 1740. In great antique condition- the original marble top with a modeled edge is shaped according to the body of the piece. The rosewood and walnut body has a great patina that compliments the bold brass drop pulls and elaborate scrolling escutcheons. No key is present. Three large drawers showcase a shaped front and scrolling scalloped trim. A decoratively carved and shaped skirt is attached to cabriole legs that end in fabulous hoof feet. Hand-crafted in the 19th century around 1850, this is a wonderful find with decorative ebony inlay trim and its original shaped marble top. The body is curved at the front with two paneled doors that open to an interior with an adjustable shelf that measures 21 ⅜” deep in the center and 28 ¾” wide. Scrolling brass shield escutcheons adorn the front and one key is present for the workable lock. The fruitwood has been polished to show off its colorful tones and patina which pair well with deep ebony inlay trim and swags. The whole sits on sturdy blocked feet. In excellent antique condition. The door is decorated with shaped deeply carved panels hung on long steel barrel hinges, and it has a working lock that is controlled with its single key. The interior has five adjustable shelves and a small middle drawer with three partitions. The interior is lined with honey colored contact paper in a set Provencal pattern featuring red accent flowers, most likely installed in the last 30 – 40 years, in good condition. A beautiful piece of subtly veined white marble sits atop this case piece’s rectilinear designed architectural body inspired by ancient Greek and Roman concepts. The top hidden frieze drawer sits below bold molding and is adorned with a large and lustrous brass winged neo-classical figure in its center. Beneath and flanked by finely turned columns with etched brass capitals and bases are the remaining six drawers that open easily and have working locks. One key is present. Three keys, also with a painted finish, are present and rest inside three working locks. The lovely molding follows down to four curving cabriole legs connected by a shaped hand-carved skirt. The English pine has accumulated a patination that is second to none and helps illustrate the antique’s story. A bank of five small drawers are located above the dresser’s surface, all with turned wooden knobs. Just beneath this surface, three larger drawers are positioned above the large storage cavity which is enclosed behind the dresser’s paneled doors. The doors and drawers all sport large, turned wood knobs. The interior is equipped with a single fixed shelf. The antique is raised on wonderfully turned ball feet.

This five drawer case antique is made in the Georgian style and features a linear composition with extraordinarily clean lines and a polished, finished presence. The graduated drawers all slide with ease and are accessed using their wonderful brass bail pulls – decorated with the ostrich feather and coronet coat of arms of the Prince of Wales. A shaped skirt complements the splayed front feet. There are no keys present.
