  • French Louis XVI Style Demilune Enfilade

    A refined Louis XVI style demilune shaped enfilade made in France. The original shaped white marble top rests over its mahogany base. The center of the cabinet has two drawers that open with brass ring pulls and two paneled doors, flanked with rounded and fluted columns. Each curved side has a drawer and door that swing open. All locks are in working order with two keys and each shelf is 16”D, the whole is lifted on turned and tapered feet with brass caps. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax.     A tall French ebonized & ormolu buffet in the Louis XVI Style. This buffet has its original worn white marble top with rounded front corners that mimic the design of the base. The cabinet has a worn ebonized mahogany finish with impressive gilt bronze mounts and banding found throughout the piece. Paneled door fronts open with a working lock and key to an interior with two adjustable shelves, 11 ½”deep. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax this chest is ready for your immediate use.   • Dutch 19th Century Empire Buffet

    A handsome Dutch Empire buffet made of walnut with ebonized details. The top of this cabinet is made of walnut and has two extending shelves on each end for additional surface area. Below is a long single drawer with large brass knobs. The center of the drawer has a functioning lock surrounded by a decorative escutcheon plate. The drawer’s interior is fitted with three removable dividers. Below the drawer is a pair of paneled and bookmatched doors fronts flanked with ebonized columns capped with gilt bronze ormolu at the top and bottom. The door opens to reveal a single fixed shelf at 18” deep. One key works both locks. This antique has been professionally refinished and restored and is ready for your immediate use.     A painted pine cabinet made in Sweden circa 1800. This cabinet has its original worn painted finish and a pierced wood gallery top over a pair of paneled doors. The interior is fitted with two drawers and two fixed shelves at 15 ¾” deep over a scalloped apron and simple block feet. The door opens wide and closes well, no key present.     A French Empire buffet made of rich flame bookmatched mahogany is classic in style. The original marble top of charcoal with white veining sits at the top of this buffet and is removable. Below is a single wide drawer decorated with a burl bookmatched mahogany veneer. The doors are flanked by handsome, turned and polished columns capped with gilt bronze ormolu at the top and bottom. When open, the doors expose two fixed shelves with abundant space for storage. Floral gilt bronze escutcheon plates adorn both doors, the lock is in working condition and has one key.   • French Directoire Fruitwood Corner Cabinet with Inlay

    A French solid fruitwood corner cabinet that will add a bit more storage space without taking up too much room. Hand-crafted in the 19th century around 1850, this is a wonderful find with decorative ebony inlay trim and its original shaped marble top. The body is curved at the front with two paneled doors that open to an interior with an adjustable shelf that measures 21 ⅜” deep in the center and 28 ¾” wide. Scrolling brass shield escutcheons adorn the front and one key is present for the workable lock. The fruitwood has been polished to show off its colorful tones and patina which pair well with deep ebony inlay trim and swags. The whole sits on sturdy blocked feet. In excellent antique condition.   • French Solid Walnut Louis Philippe Buffet

    A charming solid walnut buffet hand-crafted in France at the beginning of the reign of Louis Philippe duc d’Orléans, circa 1830. A gorgeously patinated plank top with a molded edge sits over a long shaped frieze drawer with a trimmed wooden pull and two paneled doors fixed with an oval brass escutcheon plate with beaded surround. One key is present and remains in the lock for ease of use. The two doors open to a single storage cavity with one removable shelf with a depth of 19 ⅜”. Raised on block feet this buffet is tall, sturdy, and built for longevity. Its timeless style would work well with almost any interior.     This delightful English pine dresser was made circa 1840 and is brimming with country charm. The warm tones found within the antique pine are absolutely beautiful and naturally comforting. The English pine has accumulated a patination that is second to none and helps illustrate the antique’s story. A bank of five small drawers are located above the dresser’s surface, all with turned wooden knobs. Just beneath this surface, three larger drawers are positioned above the large storage cavity which is enclosed behind the dresser’s paneled doors. The doors and drawers all sport large, turned wood knobs. The interior is equipped with a single fixed shelf. The antique is raised on wonderfully turned ball feet.

    A gorgeous antique solid fruitwood buffet a deux corps, made in the Louis Philippe style, from 1840s France. The buffet is composed of two bodies: an upper and lower. The upper body is outfitted with two fixed shelves inside. The linear panel doors contain a working lock and feature wonderfully carved wooden escutcheons. The lower body is slightly deeper and has an interior cavity with a single fixed shelf. This can also be secured with its functioning lock and key. The apron houses two small drawers, each accessed with a key, although only the drawer to the right has a functioning lock. Four keys total.     A beautiful solid walnut buffet, made in France circa 1790. The case antique is made with Provincial charm and style with burl walnut panels set into the shapely carved doors. These doors are hung with steel barrel hinges and can be secured with its working lock and single key. Cut steel escutcheons grace the door fronts and surround the keyhole. Rounded front corners sport carved details and conclude in short cabriole feet which are united by a shaped skirt. The interior is outfitted with a single fixed shelf.

    A handsome and sizable solid oak buffet a’ deux corps with Provincial charm from 19th century France. This four door case antique is split into two bodies: a larger lower body and a smaller upper body. The upper is crowned with an molded cornice above impeccable carvings depicting draped fabric and hanging tassels. The upper doors are wonderfully molded and conceal a single cavity with two removable shelves. The lower paneled doors open to reveal a space with a single removable shelf. Both sets of doors contain functioning locks and feature scrolling iron escutcheon plates. Two keys are included. All doors are supported by steel barrel hinges. A nicely scalloped apron ties in the curvy detailed from the top.   • French 19th Century Transitional Mahogany Enfilade

    A fabulous rouge marble top is the perfect top for this stunning transitional French mahogany enfilade. The mahogany case antique has a unique style of its own: incorporating elements of both Louis XVI and Directoire styles. Three drawers can be found in the apron, all with brass bail handles. They are positioned above two interior cavities which vary in size: a smaller to the right and a larger to the left. Both are concealed behind lockable doors. Two keys are included for all three working locks. The smaller compartment has three adjustable shelves. The larger has two adjustable shelves. All drawers and panel doors are trimmed in brass. The drawers are separated by fluted pilasters that run to the case antique’s skirt. The entire enfilade is lifted by six finished, tapered legs which are capped in brass feet.

    A handsome, slightly bowed front buffet from 19th century France! Made from beautiful solid oak that has been polished with French wax to revive the richness of the wood. The top is shaped according to the bowing of the front with squared off front corners. Two bowed doors with raised shaped panels unlock to reveal two adjustable shelves on the interior. Steel barrel hinges support the sizable doors. Below the doors, a nicely scalloped apron continues to escargot feet. A warm patina envelopes the whole. Great behind a sofa or in a dining room!     This nice Louis Philippe-style pine enfilade with canted corners, c. 1870, features a beautiful patinated finish highlighting the rustic charm of this piece.  The wood top sits above an apron with three drawers, each with a turned wood knob.  The body of this enfilade has three doors closing a storage space with a single fixed shelf.  The center door has a single key that works the latching mechanism and the two flanking doors have interior wood turn/toggle latches to keep them secure.  The whole rests on a plinth base. 

  • French 18th Century Provincial Oak Buffet

    Dimensions: 46-½”H x 59”W x 19-½”D

    A fantastic Provincial buffet – made of quarter sawn oak – from 1780s France. This beautiful solid oak case antique features exceptional decorative carvings, all done by hand, that are found on antiques dating to the countryside in this time period. Influenced by Louis XV, the design utilizes the sinuous lines found in that style, but lacks the asymmetry and grandiosity associated with LXV antiques. This tall buffet has three drawers that are set over two locking doors. The doors are hung on brass barrel hinges and have shaped brass escutcheons. The interior has a single fixed shelf. The rounded corners are bedecked with hand-carved details, along with the shapley skirt. The sinuous lines found along the skirt continue onto the short cabriole feet that lift the tall case antique.
