    This delightful English pine dresser was made circa 1840 and is brimming with country charm. The warm tones found within the antique pine are absolutely beautiful and naturally comforting. The English pine has accumulated a patination that is second to none and helps illustrate the antique’s story. A bank of five small drawers are located above the dresser’s surface, all with turned wooden knobs. Just beneath this surface, three larger drawers are positioned above the large storage cavity which is enclosed behind the dresser’s paneled doors. The doors and drawers all sport large, turned wood knobs. The interior is equipped with a single fixed shelf. The antique is raised on wonderfully turned ball feet.

The graduated drawers all slide with ease and are accessed using their wonderful brass bail pulls – decorated with the ostrich feather and coronet coat of arms of the Prince of Wales. A shaped skirt complements the splayed front feet. There are no keys present.

    A French Louis-Phillipe painted commode circa 1850 with faux marble top and four drawers. Created in France during the 19th century, this lovely commode features a very interesting and unique rectangular faux marble top with rounded corners, sitting above a perfectly organized facade. Four drawers, a narrow curving frieze drawer at the top followed by three larger ones, are each fitted with a simple brass oval shaped escutcheon. Two original keys are present. A small key opens the top drawer lock and a larger second key opens the other three drawers. The minimal hardware does not detract from the beautiful patina on this piece that still has its original paint. The commode is raised on block feet and has an unpainted paneled back. This superb and rare vestment cabinet made of solid oak is composed of 10 three foot drawers. These large drawers were used to store vestments from the priests. Each long drawer across the front has two pulls each and all drawers slide easily. The smaller faced drawers are the same depth as the longer ones. Each drawer is lined with green felt and the two center drawers feature permanent organization that’s perfect for serving utensils. All of the lower doors unlock to reveal a removable, finished shelf. The burled mahogany veneer has been repaired in some places, adding to its antique charm without taking away from the quality of the whole.     This stunning armoire de mariage was crafted in France during the 1800s from richly toned solid oak. The ornately carved motifs represent the wishes of wealth and prosperity for the new couple. The cornice has an impressively carved woven basket overflowing with flowers and pomegranates that serves as the nest for a pair of doves meant to represent the new couple. Swirling acanthus leaves with flowers flank the basket beautifully and are meant to represent fertility. The top of the wonderfully paneled doors display well carved grapes on the vine to represent abundance. Each of the doors center is carved with gardening motifs meant to represent wealth: the left showcases a lush basket of fruit, flowers, and wheat while the right has a watering can, ladder, sickle, and shovel.     This one of a kind armoire was custom made to showcase the fabulous pair of 19th century painted boiserie panels that now serve as the doors. Boiserie panels rose in popularity during the 18th century as a way to emulate the grandeur of the French nobility, but they also served many practical purposes like heat insulation and noise control. A marvelous, dawn- hued scene overlooking a vast countryside depicts a variety of avian species in the foreground. Antiqued brass hardware perfectly compliments the colorscape of the paintings. The left door features an interior hook to hold it closed while the right is secured with a strong magnetic door catch. The interior is painted a warm walnut color and easily houses 5 adjustable shelves with a depth of 14”. The exterior was painted to match the existing color of the door panels. The bonneterie was created in the mid 18th century in France with the rise in popularity of large and often delicate hats and wigs and a new need for tall, slender storage options. Sharply paneled doors and sides give the piece an uncluttered, symmetrical look. Large iron barrel hinges support the heavy door. Three adjustable shelves are found inside.     This striking little demilune chest features exceptional inlaid mahogany in varying varieties that have been thoughtfully book matched and placed about the chest to maximize the beauty expressed through its grain. Made in France in 1965, this vintage chest was created in the style of Louis XVI and underwent a refinishing in November of 2009. This restoration is documented in writing beneath the half moon piece of Breche d’Alep marble which tops the chest, along with the maker’s signature “Vecnissage par H.B.B Maco 1965”. Two shaped drawers are housed within the chest and bedecked with cast brass pulls and escutcheons. There are no keys present. Beautiful cast brass ormolu can also be found about the front feet, apron and flanking the bank of drawers.

The incredible bookmatched veneer has gained a vibrant patina over the last more than a century. Although petite, every inch of this display case piece has been thoughtfully constructed. The top of the piece showcases a combination of dark wood and fruitwood inlay and chamfered corners that continue down the body of the piece. Lustrous, wonderfully detailed ormolu adornes the cornice; classic egg and dart, whimsical acanthus vines, and organic floral twist. The large scrolling vine ormolu is inset into the wood on three sides and features a face surrounded by sun rays above the front doors.     A statley 19th century mahogany secrétaire à abattant from France, circa 1810. This desk has an exceptional charcoal marble top resting above a single drawer disguised into the apron. Just below the top drawer, the front of the desk folds forward to reveal a work area inset with vibrant red leather detailed with gold tooling. The leather is in great antique condition making this a comfortable place to work. When open, you can see the theatre is equipped with five drawers and a large, arched top cubby flanked with column forms. With the desk down the maximum depth is 32”; the writing surface is 28-½” heigh. The desk front and lower doors each feature a decorative brass escutcheon depicting intersecting torches among floral garland forms; one key is included for all four functioning locks. A pair of simple, round brass pulls on each drawer allow easy access. This Empire-style secretary features eye-catching bookmatched mahogany and traditional Empire columns down each side with brass capitals and bases. There have been professional repairs made to the marble top which are nearly invisible to the eye, see detailed pictures for condition.

The mahogany case antique has a unique style of its own: incorporating elements of both Louis XVI and Directoire styles. Three drawers can be found in the apron, all with brass bail handles. They are positioned above two interior cavities which vary in size: a smaller to the right and a larger to the left. Both are concealed behind lockable doors. Two keys are included for all three working locks. The smaller compartment has three adjustable shelves. The larger has two adjustable shelves. All drawers and panel doors are trimmed in brass. The drawers are separated by fluted pilasters that run to the case antique’s skirt. The entire enfilade is lifted by six finished, tapered legs which are capped in brass feet.
