French 18th Century Louis XVI Gold Gilt Mirror

Dimensions: 92 ½” H x 55” W x 5 ½” D
A large French Louis XVI gold gilt mirror made in 18th Century France. The mirror has a carved plaster crest with a center floral cartouche and laurel leaf branches. The center top of the frame is rounded with square corners and embellished with egg and dart motifs and ribbons. The whole frame has its original gold gilt finish with reddish bole beneath. The original mirror plate has light foxing and crystallization. Be sure to view the detailed images.
