19th Century English Country Oak Server

A beautiful solid oak server, made in the 19th century, England. This wonderful server is narrow, full of English Country charm, and made of brilliantly patinated oak. The table’s components are joined using peg and hole technique. The apron is made of oak and houses a single drawer, outfitted with a turned wood knob. The server’s legs are tapered and slightly angled, giving the piece an eye-catching shape. The legs are joined by an undertier shelf, where functional or decorative objects can be displayed. c.1870.
