Petite painted shop counter from a 19th Century French bakery or mercantile, this unusual and outstanding counter would transform your kitchen or retail establishment. The work surface is a slab of pink marble with traces of charcoal veining and areas of dark patina from over a century of use. This rosy pastel hue is complemented by the dusty blue paint on the case that makes quite a transformation of the familiar Louis Philippe silhouette. While the front of the case is an attractive paneled design, the back offers two drawers (one divided) over an open compartment with a shelf for storage. Cleaned, tightened and polished to bring out all the historic character. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition as there is splitting of the wood and heavy wear on the shelf.
French 19th Century Petite Oak Buffet
$2,995.0031.75"H x 31.50"W x 20"D
Dimensions: 31 ¾” H x 31 ½” W x 20” D
A charming 19th century solid oak petite buffet, exhibiting French Provincial flair and creativity which gives personality to the compact storage piece. The simple plank top glows from the warm tones one would expect of antique oak, blending with patina from two centuries of use imprinted upon the surface. Most notably, there are two drawers oriented perpendicular to each other: one opening from the left side and one on the front (above the right-side cabinet door) using plain, turned knobs. Two paneled doors carved to look like archways enclose the case below: the left door hooks onto the interior shelf and the right door is secured by lock & key. Inside is a stationary shelf, 16” deep. Thick posts as feet elevate the buffet from the floor. Navigating multiple design periods, the timeless style of this antique case piece would harmonize in a number of interior décor tastes. Make sure to view the detailed images to get a closer look at the great patina and wonderful craftsmanship. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for your interior.
Swedish Gustavian Painted Cabinet

The cabinet doors open to reveal an unpainted interior of natural pine with three fixed shelves at 13”D. The top shelf is shaped to a gentle scallop edge and notched to hang your everyday spoons. There is one key for the working lock. Below are four drawers, all easy-to-use with patinated brass handles and escutcheons expressing rococo tastes for the curvilinear and stylized; two shallow drawers across the top over two rather deep drawers below. $10,995.00103.50"H x 111.25"W x 20.50"D
Dimensions: 103 ½” H x 111 ¼” W x 20 ½” D
This traditional breakfront bibliotheque was a bespoke creation made in France (late 20th century) from beautiful walnut veneer to bring a large office the inviting warmth of a dining room or kitchen. The center of the upper bookcase has two glass-front doors enclosing five adjustable shelves measuring 12.5” deep, over two retractable shelves tucked into the apron that can be pulled out as needed. Open shelves to the outside provide easy access to books, décor, or china and porcelain. Each side includes five adjustable shelves at 9” deep. The bottom cabinet has paneled doors that open to a customized storage cavity, most likely used to pull out a printer or other electronic devices. Note the outer cabinet doors achieve their visual interest and texture from a woven brass grille instead of panels on the door fronts, enclosing one (6.5″ deep) shelf each.
