English 19th Century Hand-Forged Iron Trivet
$1,100.0015.75"H x 15.38"W x 15.38"D
Dimensions: 15-¾”H x 15-⅝”W x 15-⅜”D
A small but lovely example of the blacksmith’s art. The hand-forged 19th century iron trivet features a flat surface to place hot pots that have come off the open fire or stove after cooking. It has two straight legs in the back and one cabriole leg in the front. Stretchers connect the legs and it forms an open surface to place another hot pot. This would have been next to the fireplace on the hearth.
Large French Copper Pot with Iron Hanging Handle
$695.0014"H x "W x 25.5"D
Dimensions: 14″ H x 25 1/2″ D
A massive antique copper pot, made with a forged iron hanging handle. The handles have 7-⅝” extensions that would be used to suspend the metal pot over a heat source, often an open flame. The exterior has become blackened and weathered from use. Given few people have fireplaces large enough to accommodate such a massive vessel, today, the pot could be used just outside the fireplace as a stylish place to store firewood and/or kindling. Its aged finish will only improve with time and with each log tossed in. So many applications can be found for this unique and unusual antique copper pot.

Although this interesting antique has a culinary purpose, it is not strictly relegated to the kitchen: it will make an excellent place to store firewood / kindling or use it as a cachepot for your favorite potted plant! The handles extend 6-¼” out from each side.
