French 19th Century Beechwood Work | Coffee Table

Thick, solid beechwood boards were used in the construction of this awesome 19th century French work table. The top if full of character, left by history’s craftsmen. Evidence of their work is preserved in the beechwood top. From the top hangs a single drawer that can slide from either side. It has forged iron drop bail handles on each end. The table also features a large under-tier shelf that not only provides additional storage, but also reinforces the the table’s four thick legs. This large, low table would serve as a stunning coffee table in a 21st century home. Expansive surface area allows for piles of books, candles, plants and decorative pieces, with the shelf below providing even more. c.1880.
