French 19th Century Gold-Gilt Floor Lamp
Dimensions: 65-3/4″H x 19″W x 19″D
This beautifully carved candlestick is from the middle 1800’s, once used in a church, it has been converted to a floor lamp. The top has carved gold-gilt garlands the swag horizontally around the column’s capital. More carved garlands twist down the tapered and fluted shaft. The tripod base has scrolled legs that are adorned with a running coin motif with gilt garlands swooping between each leg. The craftsmanship employed to make this fabulous fixture is breathtaking, as the gilt is well-preserved as well as the delicately carved details. Wired for the US.
