French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Walnut Vanity
Dimensions: 58 1/4″H x 34 3/4″W x 22 3/8″D
An expertly carved walnut vanity, done in the Louis XV style circa 1890. The dressing table features a tilting mirror, three drawers, and an inset marble top. The marble top is red in color, with black, gray and white veins running throughout. The mirror has its original beveled glass. A characteristically asymmetrical crest is perched atop the mirror, with more scrolled carved details found all about the piece. Two small drawers can be found below the mirror, while the shaped apron doubles as an additional drawer. Graceful cabriole legs with escargot feet lift the vanity and bring its clearance to 23 1/2″.
