This beautiful mahogany console was made in France, circa 1850. The charcoal Saint Anne marble top with white, gray and black veins has rounded front corners and is original to the console. Below the top, a hidden drawer is housed in the table’s shaped apron. The console has been finished with mahogany veneer. Scrolled supports brace the top and serve as the table’s front legs ending in incredibly-carved paws while the back is supported with two simple legs meant to sit flat against a wall. The console’s concave, plinth-style base is patinated and raised slightly by cylindrical feet in the front and plain rectangle feet in the back.
