An impressive, long enfilade, made of solid oak, from 19th century France. This wonderful antique enfilade is composed of four drawers that are set above four lockable doors. The drawers all slide easily, and are outfitted with cut steel hardware and drop handles. Below the drawers are four doors, all with working locks and hung on hidden hinges, that close before a single interior cavity that contains a fixed shelf. The doors’ panel fronts are styles with beautifully carved acanthus scrolls and flowers. The oak used to make the piece was carefully chosen by the furniture maker and wonderfully milled. The combination of straight grain and quarter sawn oak panels give this enfilade a style all its own.
