French 19th Century Oak Farmhouse Table
Dimensions: 30″H x 76-3/4″W x 28″D
This charming oak table comes from France, where it was made by hand circa 1870. Farmhouse tables are beloved for their pastoral charm and easy, casual presence. Their patinated surface is more forgiving to scrapes and spills: happy accidents that will only improve the table’s overall patina as time passes. They are fit for everyday use, but can be dressed up for special occasions. This table has a beautiful oak top that is finished in breadboard ends. A single, long drawer is housed in the apron at the table’s end. The legs are thick, with a considerable taper that gives the legs a pointed design. The solid oak is darker in tone, with a warmth imparted from decades of gatherings.
