French 19th Century Painted Oak Hall Tree

$2,200.00

SKU: 4753A-26

Dimension: 78.50"H x 29.50"W x 7.50"D

Dimensions: 78 ½” H x 29 ½” W x 7 ½” D

A multipurpose French hall tree from the 19th century that will serve many functions in an entryway, hall, or other active room in the home that needs compact storage solutions. Also called a vestiaire, this tall coat & hat rack is made out of solid oak washed in weathered layers of slate-tone paints, arranged in a paneled design resembling a door. A multitude of brass hooks surround the beveled mirror plate which is original, its reflection just beginning to show a speckled haze of foxing. Below the mirror is a small shelf; the perfect drop-area console for keys and other personal effects, with a brass railing farther down that functions as a holder for walking sticks and umbrellas in a removable drip tray. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready to be installed in your interior. There is no mounting hardware currently attached. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition or reach out directly with any questions.
