This fine coffee table from the 1800’s is made from pitch pine, the stronger and generally thicker cousin of pine. Its dark and resinous grain lines contrast the bright honey color of the wood for a striking combination. The top, smoothed with French wax paste, sits atop a one drawered apron. Fixed with a simple turned wooden pull, it provides a bit of extra storage space for small things like the TV remote you always seem to misplace!
