French 19th Century Provincial Oak Confiturier

A specialized cabinet made for keeping jams, jellies and marmalades, this 19th century French confiturier is ideally sized to meet a number of storage needs. This solid oak cabinet was constructed using hand-pegged joinery with a wood top and molded side panels. The front is framed quite nicely with the legs extending all the way to the wood top and across the cabinet above the beautifully carved, raised panel door that is accessed with a turn of its antique key in a newer, functioning lock. The single door is hung on a large, barrel hinge. Inside the cabinet, you will find two fixed shelves. This confiturier has a simple, molded skirt that completes this exceptional Provincial antique.
