A wonderfully carved style solid fruitwood confiture or jelly cabinet is circa 1800. The small cabinet is outfitted with a single drawer and a single door. The top drawer has a cast brass drop-ring pull. The door has a working lock, brass escutcheon, and is hung on barrel hinges. The door is styled with a carved panel, reflecting its Louis XV design. It closes before an interior that is complete with a single removable shelf. The confiture’s skirt is shaped, with curves that continue into its shaped feet.
