Vintage Italian Veca Glass Pendant Light Fixture
$995.0012.25"H x 10.25"W x 10.25"D
Dimensions: 12 ¼” H x 10 ¼” W x 10 ¼” D
A vintage midcentury modern glass pendant light fixture made in Italy by Veca, circa 1960. The styling and use of thick, blue-green glass recalls the work of their contemporaries at Fontana Arte, pioneers of designing with glass for lighting and furniture. In this example the frame is made from chromed steel branching to support three arms (holding two chandelier bulbs each) diffused in two layers of green, transparent glass: the outer “shield” is a flat, oval lens creating an optical illusion in front of the semicircular inner panes around the lamping. Six chandelier-base light bulbs illuminate the fixture. Professionally cleaned and rewired to US electrical standards using UL-listed parts, ready to install in your interior. Italian 18th Century Hanging Lantern
$2,400.0033.5"H x 13"W x 13"D
Dimensions: ” H x ” W x ” D
An Italian tôle lantern from the 18th century with gilded, rococo motifs on dark metal housing. Crowned with a gilded finial to symbolize a burning flame, the theme continues down the patinated roof of the lantern as palmette garlands. The elliptical glass windows are highlighted by gilding, and the interior also reflects a golden aura to disperse the light of a single bulb. While the modern convenience of electricity might have displaced lanterns like these, the enchanting design leaves an impression anywhere around the home. Cleaned and wired for US electrical using UL listed parts this chandelier is ready to be installed. Please view all of the detailed images for the current condition and unique features.
