French Iron & Marble Outdoor Dining Table
$5,600.00
SKU: 4331-4
Dimension: 29.25"H x 71.25"W x 35.63"D
Dimensions: 29 ¼” H x 71 ¼” W x 35 ⅝” D
A stunning French 19th century cast iron & marble garden dining table, perfect for entertaining or everyday use–inside and out. The white marble top is a unique polygonal shape–an elongated octagon with three facets on each long side–cut with a beveled edge on the perimeter. The stone’s geometry stands in contrast to the poetry in the Neoclassical base: brackets supporting the marble take the form of acanthus, incorporating the spirals of volutes where they connect to the fluted column. Each delicate foot reflects the scrolling lines of the brackets above, lifted off the floor by small cylinders. Recently updated with sandblasting and new powdercoated finish in an oil-rubbed-bronze color, this table transcends interior design labels and trends to be a fine addition to any terrace, garden or patio, as well as interior dining spaces. French 19th Century Solid Walnut Convent Dining Table
$16,500.0029.63"H x 130"W x 39.38"D
Dimensions: 29 ⅝” H x 130”(10’-10”)W x 39 ⅜” D
A truly spectacular, enormous solid walnut refectory/dining table from a French convent (“nunnery”) dating to the 19th century. The wood planks forming the top surface are arranged into three, nearly square panels for a sense of order and geometry compared to the fine grain patterns of the walnut. Within the deep apron, each long side contains six drawers where the sisters would have kept their dinner service–which is a great feature to benefit the modern interior where storage is ideally out-of-sight but convenient to retrieve. Three pairs of legs hold up the mass of the table that are turned and tapered in a stack of rings. Note that there is the expected patina of fine scratches, dents, and water rings adding to the historic character of the table which has been recently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for its next home. French Mid-century Travertine Dining Table
$7,995.0029"H x 78.75"W x 39.25"D
Dimensions: 29” H x 78 ¾” W x 39 ¼” D
This French vintage travertine dining table is a monument and testament to the era of cosmopolitan sophistication seen in Hollywood Regency, that taste for noble materials balanced by Mid-Century Modern preference for linear, architectural volumes. The solid slab on top–without an apron–keeps the lines clean and open, fully appreciating the subtleties of the stone that blend creamy neutrals of white, beige, and flecks of gray. The two pedestal bases are slightly recessed making room for six guests to sit comfortably. Each pedestal block rises from a stepped base using two, parallel slabs that form a narrow void in between which adds to the visual tension. While seemingly minimal and unyielding at first glance, the table’s rounded edges, chamfered corners, and powdery smooth surface is very pleasant and enjoyable when dining. Please note the corners of the bases, one or two have been repaired professionally. Please view the detailed images to see more.
French 19th Century Walnut Wine Taster’s Table
$3,200.0029.63"H x 49.63"W x 38.50"D
Dimensions: 29 ⅝” H x 49 ⅝” W x 38 ½” D
This solid walnut wine tasting table, properly known as a vendange, was made in the late 19th century in France. Used by wine-makers throughout France and Europe, these specialized tables have a tilting mechanism that allows its top to be positioned in upright orientation–taking up less space in tightly-quartered cellars. A quick twist of the V-shaped support leg locks the oval top in place when flat. This unique table would be delightful as a center table to greet your guests, as well as in an informal dining space like a breakfast nook. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition. Note that at some point in time, one pair of legs has been reinforced with iron brackets at the feet–adding to the historic charm of this occasional table.

French 19th Century Marble Top Farm Table
$5,800.0029.75"H x 77.25"W x 31.50"D
Dimensions: 29 ¾” H x 77 ¼” W x 31 ½” D
A unique farm table with origins in 19th century France, adapted in the 20th century with a new white marble top on the original oak frame. At just over six-feet long, the scale is perfect to host intimate gatherings of family & friends or everyday meals. The top surface of antique honed white marble has a smooth texture that is inviting to the touch, animated by thin ribbons of gray veining and finished to rounded corners. Patina is light with spots or streaks of tan discoloration after decades of use. Two pairs of square, muscular legs support the scale of the table joined by stretchers across the length and width–all stained an attractive shade of chestnut. Distance between the legs is approximately 66” to fit three chairs per side comfortably (or a single bench) with the possibility of a chair on each end. The proportions and quality craftsmanship of the table could easily adapt to a multitude of uses around the home, even to a retail or business environment as a display fixture. Dimensions: 29 ¼” H x 86 ¾” W x 31 ½” D

The linear boards are capped on the short ends by perpendicular planks in breadboard formation. Typical of refectory type tables, the supporting legs (two per end) are deep and wide for an interesting profile from every angle, including the massive feet on the floor. A large stretcher (51 ⅝” long) spans the distance in between the legs that will comfortably fit two dining chairs on each side. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this truly remarkable dining table is ready to join your interior. Please view the detailed images.

An astounding 19th century French oak farm table of robust proportions to anchor a dining room or workspace. The thick plank top (nearly three inches) reveals a series of “honest repairs” in geometric patches interrupting the natural flow of the grain. Much like a Parsons table, the top and solid legs are proportionate, making a clean, linear profile surprisingly more modern than the 1800s time period. An H-form stretcher bracing the legs leaves plenty of room to host six guests comfortably. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this antique farm table is ready to join your interior.
