This monumental Louis XIII-style oak drapery table, c.1860’s, is from France and is over twelve feet long! The surface is constructed of three framed planks on either side, having a rounded edge and rests upon a beautifully carved apron with a single conforming drawer, and six spool-turned legs with an under-tier shelf below. These incredible, turned legs impart an undeniably Mediterranean/Spanish influence, and give the table a style all its own. The whole is supported on spool-turned and inverted bracket feet. The finish is rich and warm. This drapery table would make a great island in a larger kitchen with storage and display shelf below.
