French 19th Century Mahogany Empire Enfilade with Marble Top
$7,995.0041.75"H x 64.25"W x 20.88"D
Dimensions: 41 ¾” H x 64 ¼” W x 20 ⅞” D
A magnificent 19th century French enfilade of classic Empire styling, made of richly figured mahogany adorned with gilt bronze accents. Its original marble top of black stone is speckled with tiny, fossilized inclusions underneath the expected scratches from time and use. In the overhanging frieze below, a row of three drawers open by hidden cupped handles along the bottom edge (the keyholes are only decorative without a key present). The case is animated by abstract, swirling grain patterns of the wood in those luminous brown tones mahogany is prized for. In the storage compartment of the case one finds a wide cabinet behind the left and center doors opened by gripping the pillar in the absence of a key. A narrow cabinet to the right side opens by using the key as a pull. Both sections contain a semi-adjustable shelf, 13 ½” deep for ample storage in a dining room or foyer. Two thick columns to the sides–detached from the case–are mounted with gilt bronze capitals and bases that further underscore the Empire taste for Greco-Roman architecture. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax this showstopping storage piece is ready for your interior. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. 30.75"H x 18.75"W x 18.75"D
Dimensions: 30 ¾” H x 18 ¾” W x 18 ¾” D

The bookcase revolves on a cast iron center shaft elevated on casters–taking up very little room on the floor yet offers plenty of shelf space with a display surface on the top. The clean lines would work well in nearly any interior decoration style. Cleaned, tightened and polished with a French paste wax this antique bookcase is ready to use in your interior. Dimensions: 29 ¼” H x 57 ⅜” W x 23 ⅝” D
A unique painted bow-front commode/chest of drawers from the late 18th century in striking finishes and proportions that beg for a prominent spot in the home like a small buffet or console beyond clothing storage. Its red marble top, likely a type of Campan Mélange, shows exciting movement of gray and white veins throughout the red-maroon stone that has been cut and polished to a sloping bullnose edge. Two wide, spacious drawers occupy the deep case that bears the remains of a tonal blue painted scheme which has worn significantly to reveal the blond pine grain underneath. Both drawers open easily by pairs of solid, cast brass drop handles with satisfying heft. The chest is raised on four tapered legs in a slight cabriole scroll, armored at the feet with acanthus applications in gilt bronze. By its lines and engaging features, this period demilune chest of drawers will make for a lovely addition to any room, having been gently cleaned and waxed to maintain the nicely weathered finish and natural character. Swedish 19th Century Painted Linen Press
$3,200.0078.25"H x 53.13"W x 21"D
Dimensions: 78 ¼” H x 53 ⅛” W x 21” D
A Swedish pine buffet à deux corps (that is, a cabinet on chest in two sections) with origins in the 18th century designed with features and style that suit many decorating tastes and storage needs for the modern interior. The cabinet reflects that vibrant red tone of Gustavian antiques, having been made in the 1700s, which displays charming hand-painted faux bois wood grain in the shaped panels of the door fronts. Inside are two long shelves like a linen press, over six smaller drawers that open easily by iron ring pulls. The unpainted wood displays exciting movement and color in the grain. The base section of a three drawer commode appears younger than the upper cabinet, married in the early 19th century. Three drawers use turned knobs to glide easily making this a wonderful storage option for a number of rooms around the home. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to preserve all the historic character, ready for your interior. We believe this item to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. $11,500.0031.50"H x 45.50"W x 23.50"D
Dimensions: 31 ½” H x 45 ½” W x 23 ½” D
A very unusual Swedish Gustavian period painted demilune commode/chest of drawers from the late 18th century in charming proportions that could easily take the place of a small buffet or console beyond clothing storage. Two spacious drawers occupy the deep case that is entirely washed in a soft gray typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes that aim to brighten rooms in dark winters, warmed by an intentional scraped effect revealing some of the grain underneath. The chest is raised on four tapered legs. By its clean lines and engaging features, this period demilune chest of drawers will make for a lovely addition to any bedroom, living room or hallway, having been gently cleaned and polished to maintain the nicely weathered finish and natural character. Swedish Gustavian Period 18th Century Painted Commode
$11,500.0030.63"H x 40"W x 21.13"D
Dimensions: 30 ⅝” H x 40” W x 21 ⅛” D
A spectacular three-drawer commode from Sweden, circa 1790, that alludes to a Louis XVI influence met with the pared-down Nordic sensibility of both culture and time period. On top are the remains of a gray paint washing the surface which is shaped to chamfered front corners that overhang the fluted pilasters. The case of three drawers features weathered layers of rust-red paint in that delightfully tactile, scraped finish so iconic of the Gustavian style. The ruddy complexion is interrupted by small brass ring-pull hardware displaying Neoclassical urns along with oval escutcheons (however no key is present). The angled pilasters are enhanced with fluting, punctuated at the capital and base with small rosettes. A dovetail motif adornment, cut from brass, crowns the square, tapering legs. These unique elements beg for more prominent placement in the modern interior, with the scale that’s a fine alternative to a console table or small buffet. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Dimensions: 72 ½” H x 64 ¼” W x 24 ¾” D
An extraordinary Dutch wardrobe made in the late Renaissance period, 18th century. This substantial antique work of storage furniture is all hand-crafted of solid oak, some panels with “tigering” that creates a rippled appearance in the wood to fascinate in any room for storage of linens, clothing, or household essentials. The doors open to reveal two fixed shelves per side, ranging from 13 ½” – 19 ¼” deep over a pair of shallow drawers in the base opening by turned wood knobs. It appears that a small hanging rod was once added to the right-side cabinet which has since been removed leaving the brackets in place to retrofit to one’s own unique needs and taste. $6,400.0053"H x 46.25"W x 29.25"D
Dimensions: 53” H x 46 ¼” W x 29 ¼” D
This massive antique chest of drawers from Catalonia (Spain) exhibits a pure tactile joy in how the aqua blue paint has eroded to a soft, chippy pattern with areas of walnut wood grain showing through. Dating to the turn of the 19th century (circa 1800), the rectilinear form is composed of five, massive drawers opened by brass ring pull hardware. Refreshingly there is no superfluous ornament that would compete with or distract from the ambitious construction of thick, solid planks exhibiting wild knots and grain patterns evident when the drawers are open. The case has been gently cleaned with a French paste wax to preserve and highlight the historic character. Please view the detailed images to see more.

$9,500.00101"H x 58.38"W x 21"D
Dimensions: 101” H x 58 ⅜” W x 21” D
This French dark pine bookcase from the late 19th century makes a dramatic statement by its scale alone, and the crackled texture of the painted interior gives it visual intrigue to anchor any kitchen, dining room, library, or office. Below an understated cornice, two tall glass-front doors provide visibility to regard the contents on three shelves (approximately 12 ½” deep) which are adjustable. Note doors are fitted so the right side contains the lock while the left door uses a slide-bolt for security. The panes exhibit the unmistakable wavy surface and bubbles of antique glass. In subtle contrast to the chalky interior, the pine construction has taken on a deep and rich brown tone like mahogany to integrate with many other historic design styles. The lower section of the unit offers two drawers over an undivided cabinet for (less visible) storage and organization. The drawers retain their keyhole escutcheons however the locks have been removed. Behind the two locking doors of the lower cabinet is a stationary shelf, 16” deep, spanning the full width of the interior. Cleaned, tightened and polished, this monumental storage piece is ready to astound in your interior. Please view the detailed images to see more. Two keys included.
