The Second Great War, originally published in nine volumes in 1947 by The Waverley Book Company Ltd in London. This scholarly set of 6 leather bound books was edited by Sir John Hammerton. Compiled to be a contemporary history, it was written while the events of World War II were still in progress and includes hundreds of photographs and maps. The title is stamped in gold lettering on the spines and the initials BCW are stamped on the front cover of each.Written in English, very few signs of wear or discoloration are visible on the interior. This beautiful set of books will easily incorporate into any home or office decor!
