This classically designed breakfront bibliotheque was custom made with beautiful walnut veneer. The center of the bookcase has two glass paneled doors with five adjustable shelves measuring 12.5” deep, below are two pull out slides measuring 33 ½” deep. The bottom has simple paneled doors that open to a custom storage cavity. This bookcase must have been used in an office and there are two shelves with slides, most likely used to pull out a printer or other electronic devices. The center column of this bookcase is flanked by a pair of open shelves that have a narrow depth, perfect for displaying books and accessories. Each side has five adjustable shelves at 9” deep. Below are doors inset with brass wire, behind is one adjustable shelf on each side at 6.5” deep. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax this bookcase is ready for your immediate use. Custom Armoire Made with 19th Century Painted Boiserie Doors

This one of a kind armoire was custom made to showcase the fabulous pair of 19th century painted boiserie panels that now serve as the doors. Boiserie panels rose in popularity during the 18th century as a way to emulate the grandeur of the French nobility, but they also served many practical purposes like heat insulation and noise control. A marvelous, dawn- hued scene overlooking a vast countryside depicts a variety of avian species in the foreground. Antiqued brass hardware perfectly compliments the colorscape of the paintings. The left door features an interior hook to hold it closed while the right is secured with a strong magnetic door catch. The interior is painted a warm walnut color and easily houses 5 adjustable shelves with a depth of 14”. The exterior was painted to match the existing color of the door panels. The whole is slightly raised on bracket feet and adds a nice shape to the overall body. A whimsical set of upholstered French reproduction dining chairs, produced there in the 20th Century. The set contains four side chairs and two armchairs. They have painted frames that are made to appear antique. Their overall style is in accordance with Louis XVI, and features fanciful backrests formed like early hot air balloons. The chairs are comfortable and have been recently upholstered in a wonderful blue/green fabric that is both resilient and on-trend. It is trimmed with double welt cording. The legs are turned with fluted carvings.

French 20th Century Reproduction Louis XV Style Painted Side Chair

A lovely painted side chair, made towards the beginning of the 20th century, in France. The cane back is intact and in wonderful vintage condition. It is painted to match the frame and accented with subtle painted details done in a cross-hatched design. The frame is painted a light cream color, which has been distressed, giving it a wonderfully, aged look. Floral and foliate carvings are accented in the same blue/green paint used to accent the cane backing. The back is shaped, and has a beautiful cartouche carved into its top rail. The shaped skirt complements the chair’s cabriole legs which terminate in escargot feet. It is upholstered in a beige fabric, which is trimmed with double welt cording.
