Three of the large drawers have recently added Empire styled drop pulls for easy use and all the drawers slide with ease. This French 19th century oak piano stool is an elegant and classic example of Louis XVI style. Made in France, the piano stool was hand-crafted out of solid oak for a sturdy build, and is accented with intricately carved details on the corners that continues around the trim. The square-shaped stool is perched on four lovely turned and fluted legs connected to an elaborate, hand-carved and shaped stretcher that meets in the center, and is then topped with a decorative finial. This piece includes a fully functional steel adjustable height mechanism. The cushion has recently been upholstered with vintage trim, and is very comfortable.
