To call the work a “still-life” does a disservice to the vitality and celebration of color happening within the scene; the dark blue glass vase at center overflows with bursts of pink, purple, yellow, and white blossoms in impasto technique reminding one of the abundance and excitement of gardens throughout the spring and summer. This small painting will surely command attention in any gallery wall collection but has the presence to stand on its own as well.
