The printed canvas is in very good condition with a magnificent color palette enhancing the richly dressed nobleman on horseback. A wide tape-trim in complementary shades of bronze frames the textile, ready to hang by included iron rods for wall mounting. Please view the detailed images.

French 18th Century Tapestry Fragment
$1,200.0051.5"H x 27"W x 0.25"D
Dimensions: 51-½”H x 27”W x ¼”D
This vibrant botanical theme tapestry fragment comes from 18th century France, at the peak of the Verdure tradition. Two narrow panels were hand-stitched together as one hanging, with brilliant blue trim, that gives the works a diptych feeling for greater continuity in their narratives. The weavings show (expected) signs of abrasion and loss of pigment among the floral/foliate theme inhabited by the occasional bird. Make sure to view the detailed images to get a closer look at the condition.
