Belgian Early 20th Century Surgical Stool

An exceptional stainless steel surgical stool, made in Belgium at the early part of the 20th century. The stool has an adjustable height, so you can elevate or lower the stool to suit your needs. The seat has a diameter of 12 1/2″ and can have its height adjusted by giving it a clockwise or counterclockwise turn. The iron base has been painted, with much of the original paint gone. A brass plaque reads” Manufacture Belge de Gembloux” and translates to “Made in Gembloux, Belgium” The plaque also has the name A. Legros stamped upon it.
