The overhanging frieze drawer uses two ring pulls to open mounted on répoussé brass backplates shaped like camelias or roses; there is no keyhole escutcheon, instead the bookmatched veneer animates the center by a feathered appearance. Two (detached) columns finished with brass capitals & bases flank the lower drawers using the same type of ring pulls and matching escutcheons over the keyhole. No key is present. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this gorgeous antique storage piece is ready for its next home. $1,800.00

    33"H x 18.63"W x 13.75"D

    Dimensions: 33” H x 18 ⅝” W x 13 ¾” D

A French 19th century bedside table, unusually wide for the Louis XVI style which is perfect to fit a lamp, offering three drawers in a mahogany frame. Inset white marble for the top surface is surrounded by a short, pierced brass gallery edge and cut with a low opening at the front. This lovely design has an intermediate scale that would be fantastic in a bedroom or as an end table offering a bit of storage. Three drawers are outlined in brass trim, opened by small brass knobs. Thin, tapered legs with fluted carvings underscore the Louis XVI influence although this lightly patinated side table would fit less regal settings as well. Cleaned and tightened, polished with a French paste wax–ready to join your interior. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition. Light surface scratches and watermark rings to be expected with age and use.
