A five-light brass chandelier in the Dutch style with a central sphere from which the scrolled arms unfurl. Despite its petite stature, the frame is solid and heavy giving it a kind of presence to fit a number of rooms and styles. Adding to the sense of movement created by the curvaceous qualities are twisting motifs applied judiciously so that the design feels elegant and simple, given depth of color and texture by the dark oxidation of the metal. A spectacular and massive 18th century Genovese-style Italian chandelier decorated with transparent and jewel-tone crystals. Behind this seemingly buoyant veil of glittering crystals, the tall column of finely carved giltwood in Neoclassical motifs branches into a profusion of metal hooks at the top which cascade down as clear strings of beads punctuated by intense blue and orange crystals. Eight arms for the lights rise from a sparkling web of crystal strings distinguished by an emerald green jewel. Swags of clear and elongated points hang from the patinated metal arms of the lights which use candelabra-base bulbs to create a warm and inviting ambience, terminating at the bottom in a cut crystal sphere. The fixture has been professionally cleaned and rewired for the US using UL-listed components, ready to install in your interior. A dazzling French gilt bronze and crystal chandelier from the mid-20th century to illuminate your dining room, foyer, or other glamorous space. This Maison Baguès style frame has true depth and sculptural interest from a hammered, or chiseled, texture beneath the gilding that has aged to patchy craquelure and areas of dark patina. It is mounted to the ceiling by a large canopy of giltwood, carved in a stylized sun or sunflower design bursting into spiky corona. The multitude of tiers and scrolled hooks are dripping with a variety of glass shapes: pendalogues, stars, chains, and a crystal ball to catch the light from six faux candles using candelabra-base bulbs. A spectacular and heavy French chandelier from the late 19th century, cast in bronze with abundant Neoclassical decorative motifs imparting texture and variety to the six-light form. Swirled, blown glass diffusers protect candelabra-base bulbs rising from gently curved arms draped with acanthus leaf designs. A whimsical Murano glass chandelier from Italy, midcentury circa 1940, in the style of Barovier & Toso using a technique of blown glass that results in a twisted rope effect for pattern and volume with transparency. Descending from a bronze-tone stem, the glass column swells and narrows toward the delicate fiddle-head scrolls that rise up from candle arms. A ring of six, twisted glass arms beautifully reflect the light from candelabra-base bulbs rising from curiously inverted bobeches. Fabulous vintage Italian Murano glass chandelier circa 1960 in the style of Gino Vistosi composed of a two-tiered frame with oval glass drops streaked with white. Artistic expression is seen in the way each glass pendant was shaped by hand to impart their wavy texture for exciting dimension when they are layered together. Please note the two amber drops are actually replacements made of acrylic that cast a warm, golden aura from the three chandelier-base lightbulbs. Eight scrolling arms rising from the ornate central column are emphasized by foliate decoration in the form of slender acanthus leaves, draped over the curls of the metal armature and descending from the pierced bobeche. A stunning 6-light Gothic style brass chandelier from 19th century France. The dramatically styled fixture has a multifoil shaped ring from which the six lights rise. The base is harnessed together by brass rods, connecting to a brass sphere midway to the ceiling canopy, joined together at points punctuated by small brass orbs. Originally made to burn candles in a church, the chandelier has recently been cleaned, electrified and professionally rewired for US use, using UL-listed components.
