We absolutely love this decorative trunk from England! Bound in perfectly worn dark leather and adorned with brass studs in swirling patterns. The lock is in working condition and includes one key. A pair of simple handles on each side make it easy to carry even when filled. The interior is lined with a faded red fabric and is fixed with leather cording to support the lid. English 18th Century George II Style Apprentice Chest

A lovely, English apprentice chest from the 18th century, c. 1780. This wonderful work is that of an apprentice that studied under a woodworker. In order to work for the woodworker, the apprentice would have to build a box, utilizing his best skills. The chest is oak and its hardware is brass. It has a unique crown-like trim around the top making this chest one-of-a-kind.
