A quality Louis XV Period carved and gold gilt queen bed frame. The four piece frame has classic carvings of Rococo influenced Louis XV style with flamboyant carvings and gold gilt cartouches with hand painted flowers. The bedrails have been extended to accommodate a standard queen size mattress. Instead of the mattress sitting between the rails it now sits on top. Be sure to view the detailed images.

A full-sized metal bed from early 20th century France, its frame is characterized by an arched head and footboard that have been ornamented with subtle Neoclassical scrolled details. The metal has oxidized to a rich patina, somewhere in between bronze and brass to suit any number of décor styles. Note the frame disassembles into four components for easier transportation and installation: a headboard, a footboard, and two iron side-rails. Circa 1900.
