This handsome Louis-Philippe walnut bedside cabinet, c.1860s, is from France and features a gray, Saint-Anne marble top with white inclusions, over an ogee-molded apron drawer and a paneled door. The drawer has a simple, round brass pull. The door is outfitted with a patinated brass knob – cast in the form of a human fist, clutching a scroll – that can be turned to access the interior. The interior is outfitted with a single fixed shelf and the whole rests on a plinth base with rounded corners. Shaped bracket feet lift the plinth base.
