Pair of 19th Century English Elm & Pine Low Stools
Dimensions: 22 1/2″H x 18″W x 9 1/4″D
A charming pair of 19th century English low farm stools, made with elm seats and pine bases. Each stool has semicircular shaped elm seats that are supported by tripodal bases. The bases are made of pine, with their front braces markedly worn from nearly one hundred thirty years of boots resting and slowly whittling away at them. The decades have imparted a well-deserved patina into these bucolic seats. They do have slightly differing heights, with the taller being 22 1/2″H and the shorter measuring 21 3/4″H. c.1890.
