The base unit protrudes just slightly forward beyond the towering display above, enclosing a small cabinet with a shelf, 19 ¾” deep. French 19th Century Walnut Louis Philippe Semainier

A gorgeous 19th century French walnut chest of drawers–seven drawers to be exact-designed as a classic semainier in the Louis Philippe style with spellbinding patterns in the matched wood grain. The top surface is rounded at the corners and wrapped to begin the waterfall effect that carries the eye from one drawer to the next. A frieze drawer on the very top of the stack does not have a lock, but is easily opened by gently gripping the cupped handles. The six drawers in the body of the case feature stunning bookmatched fronts of radiating grain patterns that feel cohesive and expansive; they also share a key between them to secure the functioning locks. What looks like two individual drawers on the bottom are actually a single, very deep drawer for storing bulkier items like sweaters or blankets. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to glide easily, ready for your interior. French 19th Century Massive Fruitwood Enfilade

An expansive 19th century French enfilade, Louis Philippe period, made of glowing fruitwood and stretching over 10’ across to anchor a dining room or living space. Three very long planks span the top surface, capped with breadboard ends. The layout of the cabinetry places a stack of four drawers in the center (instead of the frieze) flanked by spacious cabinets on the left and right. Of the drawers, all open by lion-head ring pull hardware with the top drawer retaining a working lock and key. The paneled doors are accentuated by thin strips of dark inlay, opening by individual locks and keys behind anthemion escutcheons to reveal one shelf per cabinet, 48 ½” W x 17” D. Carved bracket feet elevate the case leaving a short gap between the bottom trim and the floor. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to preserve all the historic character, this antique enfilade is ready for its next home. Swedish 19th Century Carl Hollst Square Tilt-top Table

A magnificent tilt-top table from Sweden, mid-late 19th century. The square top features a dazzling patchwork of burled alder veneer in an overlapping collaged effect of shifting grain directions that beautifully contrasts with the simplicity of the baluster column on tripod feet. Simply removing the two wood pegs from the titling mechanism (visible underneath by their square knobs) pivots the top in the upright position. Today, the scale of this unique table would be perfect for a breakfast room or informal dining space to eat or play games, but could also serve as a center table. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to maintain the gorgeous lustre of the wood. Branded underneath, “Carl Hollst, Eskilstuna” and “FS”. The brass frame has stylized Louis XVI, Neoclassical motifs for added texture and dimension: the pierced gallery surrounding each tray, the rosette bolt covers, fluting on the legs (which incorporates a rack for bottles on the lower tier) to name a few classy details. Pair of 19th Century French Painted Louis XV-Style Fauteuils

A gorgeous pair of upholstered French 19th century Louis XV-style fauteuils, painted in an antique cream/taupe color. The frames are ornately decorated, with Louis XV motif carvings found all over. The pair have been more recently upholstered in an ivory fabric that has sustained some spotting. The upholstery is trimmed in double welt cording, c.1870.
