An original French brasserie table, circa 1890, with a removable white marble top on a cast iron frame. The stone top has flat edges and a smooth, although patinated surface clouded with beige discoloration. Slender iron legs of graceful, Beaux Arts styling are braced with stretchers across the frame. This occasional dining table will make a lovely addition to a patio or kitchen. Yellowing and etching of the marble is consistent with age and type of use. An original French brasserie table, circa 1890, with a removable white marble top on a cast iron frame. This classic French bistro table has a few design elements to stand out from the rest! The stone top features beveled edges around both the top and bottom surfaces, geometric details that will reappear in the cyma profile of the base. Impressive curule legs, joined by medallions at the stretcher rod, are still mostly green with patinations to reveal the dark metal underneath. Little scrolled feet (or what remains of them) sit off the floor on trapezoid blocks. A lovely addition to a patio or kitchen.
