  • Vintage Belgian Set of 38 Etched Crystal Martini & Cocktail Glasses

    $1,400.00

    6.63"H x 3.38"W x 3.38"D

    Dimensions: 6 ⅝” H x 3 ⅜” W x 3 ⅜” D

Belgian vintage set of thirty-eight (38) stemware glasses in two sizes: a short capacity for cordials or sherry (18 pieces), and the larger martini glass (20 pieces). The conical vessels are etched with a band of Greek Key pattern, over which small fleur de lis have been engraved intermittently as a subtle reference to French monarchy and the Bourbon lineage. Despite their seemingly fragile appearance, the hexagonal stems have a pleasant weight from the quality of the crystal and only one glass has a tiny chip on the rim. We believe these to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition and message us with any questions. Sold as a set.

    Martini glass dimensions: 6 ⅝” H x 3 ⅜” W x 3 ⅜” D

  • Belgian Vintage Portrait Painting by Delescluze

    $2,995.00

    26.75"H x 22.75"W x 2.13"D

    Dimensions: 26 ¾” H x 22 ¾” W x 2 ⅛” D

A vintage portrait by Belgian artist Edmond Delescluze (1905-1993). The subject is a young lady with fair hair and skin, her classic Flemish profile set off by a red hat decorated with ostrich feathers and a gaze concentrated toward the left of the scene. Behind her is a surreal landscape of pastel blue, pink, and yellow during the waning hours of daylight. Wrapped around her is a diaphanous pink shawl exposing a gold necklace with a locket, which must have some importance considering the level of detail applied. Please view the detailed images to see more of this thought-provoking work. Recently framed in natural oak molding that complements the palette. Signed by the artist to the lower left.

  • Vintage Belgian Oil on Canvas Signed Luyckx

    $2,500.00

    22.63"H x 18.50"W x 2.13"D

    Dimensions: 22 ⅝” H x 18 ½” W x 2 ⅛” D

An alluring vintage painting on canvas by Belgian artist Antoon Luyckx (1922-2017), it appears to be a self-portrait of him in front of a canvas (work-in-progress) staring back at the viewer. Behind him in the background, through the window, is a solitary figure waiting on a bench, however the artist has chosen to use a “soft focus” effect to obscure the view. Recently reframed in simple yet complementary oak molding. Please view the detailed images to see more. Signed by the artist to the lower right.

  • Belgian Vintage Cast Bronze & Glass Coffee Table

    $4,500.00

    17.13"H x 49.50"W x 29.75"D

    Dimensions: 17 ⅛” H x 49 ½” W x 29 ¾” D

A massive, solid bronze coffee table in the manner of Belgian designer Peter van Heeck to make an architectural statement in any living room. Cast in solid bronze polished to a gilded aura, the stepped, paneled motifs in the apron and legs recall Art Deco geometry, though if taken as a work of metal sculpture, it could suit a Brutalist aesthetic as well. An inset clear glass top offers lightness and transparency against the visual mass of the (textured bronze) frame; opening up a large surface area for display and hosting. Stylistically the coffee/cocktail table harmonizes with a range of eclectic interiors. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition as the metal shows areas of green verdigris, general patina and light scratches in the glass top.

  • Belgian Early 20th Century Still Life in Gilt Frame

    $695.00

    31.13"H x 33"W x 2.50"D

    Dimensions: 31 ⅛” H x 33” W x 2 ½” D

This early 20th century still life is a classic composition of mixed fruits and vessels on a wood table, however the moody lighting conditions show the remarkable talent and perceptive observations of the artist, Aurélien Dehon. Arranged before a murky background, a ceramic pitcher is softly illuminated by the light coming from a nearby window which is barely reflected on the dark brown demijohn to the right. In the foreground is a white platter of fruit that appears to be bananas and apples. A complementary gold gilt frame (repaired) protects the delicate work, which shows its age in a craquelure texture, some loss of pigment, and a small hole near the mouth of the pitcher. Signed by the artist “Dehon” and a small sticker pasted to the back with unclear title and address. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition.

  • Belgian 19th Century Pewter Charger Plate

    $125.00

    1"H x 11.75"W x 11.75"D

    Dimensions: 1” H x 11 ¾” W x 11 ¾” D

Belgian, 19th century (or earlier) pewter charger, the plate is lovingly personalized for an “I. Meurat” on the reverse. Being a functional antique, the utilitarian form of the plate is understated in its proportions and simplicity–the perfect complement as a table centerpiece or part of a larger collection to display. Faint hallmark. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition.

  • Belgian 19th Century Pewter Tankard by Duvivier

    $115.00

    8.63"H x 3.88"W x 6.50"D

    Dimensions: 8 ⅝” H x 3 ⅞” W x 6 ½” D

Unique 19th century lidded pitcher in the Georgian style by Jean Baptiste Duvivier of Belgium, signed on the underside of the base. Crowned with a scallop shell thumb for operating the lid, the narrow spout would gracefully dispense wine into glasses. A bullseye design of concentric circles echoes the precision in the form and construction of the tankard; the capacity of one “litre” is engraved on the handle. • Belgian 19th Century Framed Oil Painting by Gerard Roosen

    $16,995.00

    51.25"H x 69.25"W x 3"D

    Dimensions: 51 ¼” H x 69 ¼” W x 3” D

A stunning, large oil-on-canvas painting by Belgian artist, Gerard Roosen (1869 – 1935). “Girl on a Beach” features a beautiful young woman who is draped, topless, on a rock with most of her backside exposed as her gold satin and dark green garments collect around her thighs. The viewer sees just the left profile of her face while she props herself up to gaze into the sea under a dappled pastel sky. Although painted much later, this work continues with several themes popular in the Pre-Raphaelite style: a strong female character, perhaps a bit rebellious, even mysterious, when placed in this natural setting. Protected by a museum-quality carved gilt frame with dense foliate motif, ready to hang in your interior. Be sure to view the detailed images to get a closer look at this modern masterpiece.
