A very early 19th Century English farmhouse table made from elm and ash. The top is made from solid elm planks supported on an ash base, which has a simple apron that follows down to streamlined and well supported squared legs. This table is well constructed and has a great color and wonderful patina from age and use. Very sturdy with excellent dimensions. Created in England in the 19th century, this oak joint stool features a rectangular top sitting above a hand-carved apron. The ensemble is resting on four well turned legs connected to one another through plain side stretchers. With its dark patina and lovely decor, this stool will bring a touch of authenticity to any space. Stools were the common seating for everyday people as arm chairs were reserved for the more wealthy.
