A stunning Scandinavian commode with a fold-down secretary desk housed in its top drawer. The top is in great condition with miniscule visible wear. Although narrow, the apron features a pediment with an ebonized triangle to accentuate the shape. You can see the attention to detail when the top drawer front is opened to reveal the secretary work space, finished in bird’s eye maple. A pair of small brass buttons on the interior operates the top release. 13 drawers of varying size provide an abundance of organizational space. Diminutive ivory pulls are fixed to each drawer as well as a decorative gallery with ivory supports showcased in the center. A bank of three drawers with ebinozided receded diamonds with a key hole in the center. All four locks are functioning- one key is included.
