French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Mahogany Envelope Game Table
Dimensions: 29 1/4″H x 22 3/4″W x 22 3/4″D
This adorable Louis XVI style game table was made circa 1890 in France. This antique table has a top with a fascinating feature. The top is separated into four isosceles triangles, that when closed, make the table appear as any other table. These triangular segments can all be folded outward to expose a larger, felt-topped playing area. When open, the table measures: 28″H x 31 1/2″W x 31 1/2″D. The top has the ability to swivel, enabling the gaming surface to be moved without having to change places. It has recently been recovered in new, teal felt. The top and apron are both trimmed in brass. The apron houses a single drawer with a brass drop ring pull, perfect for storing cards, chips, dice, and other gaming pieces. The legs are long and slender, with fluted details and brass capitals and sabots.
