A sizable vessel, made in France of solid brass. The pot has a large forged iron handle for carrying or hanging it over an open flame. Over the years, the hammered brass and iron has gained a fantastic patina. There is some cracking around the rim, giving it tons of character. A beautiful green glass storage jar from France! Rare and highly sought-after, what may be mistaken as imperfections: tilted mouths, bubbles and ripples in the glass, are actually the very attributes that make these colored glass jars such cherished antiques. Originally used to store vegetables, fruits, truffles and other food sundries, today this makes a wonderful vase and can be placed throughout the home for an added pop of color and texture. A lovely glazed terra cotta cream bowl from 19th century France. This earthen bowl, also known as a pancheon, was used to stand milk while the cream separates. The cream is then poured off the top with the small spout found on the pot’s lip. This antique bowl is in excellent condition, with both handles intact. The interior has been glazed a beautiful ochre yellow. This glaze prevented the milk from being absorbed by the terra cotta. Today, this wonderful bowl would make a fantastic fruit bowl or decorative object about the house.

Dimensions: 14-½”H x 28-⅛”W x 21-½”D

A sizable antique copper pot, equipped with a forged iron handle that can be used to suspend the vessel over a fire. The pot has a hammered exterior that gives the antique a styled finish. The copper has patinated wonderfully, with some verdigris present. Although this interesting antique has a culinary purpose, it is not strictly relegated to the kitchen: it will make an excellent place to store firewood/kindling or use it as a cachepot for your favorite potted plant! The handles extend 4-⅞” out from each side. Circa 1840.

A fabulous French 19th century copper poissonniere or fish kettle. This long and extremely heavy rectangular pot was crafted of solid copper and retains its three large original handles attached with rivets and interior removable zinc grille liner. This substantial country essential was used for cooking fish on the open hearth and is in excellent condition with a rich, patinated finish. A sturdy, versatile, traditional piece that can still be used for cooking, or with its beautiful oblong shape, simply displayed.
