This 19th century clock is stunning with its diamond-shaped rippling clock frame of ebony-painted wood. Mother-of-pearl floral and foliate designs are inlaid in differently stained mahogany and brilliant mother-of-pearl, surrounding the porcelain clock face in symmetrical form. Behind protective glass, the white porcelain face has beautiful hand-painted Roman numerals and floral design radiating from the pierced brass hands. Recently professionally cleaned and ready to be hung in your interior. The clock chimes on the hour, 5 minutes after the hour, and once on the half hour. For an additional $150.00 a quartz movement can be added to the clock to keep time without winding weekly. This clock has a very short pendulum swing and must be level.
