English Pair of 19th Century Medical Syringes
$265.0015.75"H x 3"W x 3"D
Dimensions: 15 ¾” H x 3” W x 3” D
English pair of 19th century pewter syringes, also known as clysters, used to deliver an enema either on an animal or human subject. Both of these fascinating medical antiques have beautiful decorative features in spite of their uncomfortable function: the large syringe uses a turned handle on the solid wood plunger, and the smaller version has the most delicate brass finial. A unique gift for a veterinarian, doctor, or collector of curiosities. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition. Sold as a pair.
