    This is a French 19th century mahogany desk with a pretty inlay design of various woods across the top of the back. The inlay design is used throughout the desk. The top rests over a pair of doors on either side and two bookshelves in the center. There is a slanted front that drops down to form a leather writing surface. Behind this slanted front are many cubby holes, two small drawers with brass pulls and two shelves for books. Beneath are two small drawers and two larger drawers, all with brass oval pulls. All sits atop of square tapered legs and square tapered feet. A beautiful, functional antique for any style home.

    This is a French 19th century oak low table. It is circa 1850 and put together with wood pegs. The oval top is made of three boards sitting over an apron with a single drawer which has an iron pull. All sit on turned legs with a ‘H’ stretcher across the bottom. This table has been cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to bring out its patina.

    This beautiful French 19th century Empire commode is made of burl walnut veneer. The top is Saint-Anne marble and sits over a wide drawer hidden in the apron of the piece. There are three more drawers below with ornate pulls and escutcheons. A pair of columns sit on either side of the drawers. All sit on a thick plinth base with wide, raised feet.     This French 19th century solid walnut desk has many interesting features. The slant front folds down to reveal a writing surface and many small compartments. There are two small drawers at the top sitting over two larger drawers all made of oak. There are secret compartments on either side of the desk. When the writing surface is open, it can be pulled open to reveal a storage area/drawer. When you close the desk you can see the front of the faux drawer which actually is a part of the writing surface when extended. Below this is a pair of doors which conceals a storage area and one stationary shelf.  It is framed on either side by columns with brass bands at the top and bottom. Square feet support the columns and the desk. There are three keys – one for the top, one for the faux drawer, one for the doors.  The height of the writing surface is 29-⅛”. The depth of the writing surface when open is 33-⅛”.

    An extraordinary little carved oak bench from 19th century France. This wonderful petite bench was made in the Louis XVI style and has a sinuously shaped top with a cane seat that is in excellent antique condition. The shaped apron is adorned with carved floral splay details and affixed to the legs with peg and hole joinery. The six legs are turned, tapered and fluted. They are reinforced by a delicately turned stretcher. The solid oak is marvelously patinated, warm and inviting. A truly sweet little place to have a seat. C.1870

    This lovely carved and painted plant stand was made in France during the 19th century. Its wonderfully carved details include lamb’s tongue details that surround the apron, acanthus foliage about the cabriole legs’ knees, running coin motifs that travel down said legs to their carved hoof feet, and fluted joinery die that join them to the apron. The basin is lined with a zinc pan that will protect the wooden frame from watering drips. A painted cane stretcher / undertier shelf provides both stability and functionality for this beautifully painted antique. It is finished in a cream and blue/green paint that has patinated wonderfully over the decades.

There are two shelves faced with rosewood and the inside depth of 11-⅝” behind these glass doors. Columns are also on either side of these doors. The piece is topped off with a cornice. There is one key that operates the top and bottom locks.

    This French 19th century tea table is quite nice. It is Charles X style and circa 1830.  It has a center medallion of ebonized wood inlaid with a bird perched on a branch of leaves and flowers. There are many concentric circles going to the edge of the table with mixed wood inlay. The table top rim has mixed wood inlay as does the apron. The pedestal is turned and rests on tripod legs all of which have impressive mixed wood inlay designs.
